Alan's Factory Outlet Amish Built Wood and Vinyl Prefab Storage Buildings
The wood prefab storage buildings and vinyl prefab storage buildings are custom made by the Amish in the size, style, colors and with the double doors and windows located exactly where you want them. The storage sheds are completely assembled in the factory by the Amish and delivered fully assembled to your home.
This a-frame shed was constructed with an optional 6" overhang. Many other styles such as mini barns, dutch barns and quaker style sheds. The storage buildings are made in 6', 8', 10', 12' and 14' wide. The length on the sheds range from 6' long to 40' long with many popular sizes in between. Garages are also available if your looking to store a car, truck or other large items.
If you've been searching for a double wide storage building we have a line of 2 car garages that come in 20', 24' and 28' wide. There are several ways to resolve this situation. I'm going to cover 3 different quick options for you which could help solve this problem.
3 different options to be able to put your car in the garage
- You could organize the items your storing in the garage which means you would most likely need to get rid of some things to be able to have enough room to store your car in the garage.
- You could buy a prefab shed for you backyard and put all of the items that are currently in the garage into the new shed so this would provide the extra space you where missing.
- Or you may want to go a different direction and keep the garage you have and use it more of a storage shed and buy a new prefab garage for your car or truck.
So a prefab shed or prefab garage is a quick way to get your car garage kept again.

Many people are looking for a shed that is under 8' 6" tall due to permit or subdivision restrictions.
We only have one style of sheds that is under the 8' 6" height level and that is the 4' mini barn. It is called 4' mini barn because it has 4' sidewalls, but it is 8' at the peak and with the pitch of the roof will provide plenty of head room but just doesn't give you any loft space.

The next taller style shed is an a-frame shed which is at approximately 9' 10" tall. We also have a dutch barn style shed which is 2' 6" taller than the 4' mini barn. The dutch barn has 6' 6" sidewalls from the ground to the roof line and is 10' 6" tall at the peak.
So the 4' mini barn is almost 2' shorter than the a-frame shed.
The mini barn sheds come with double doors and one window. On the 8' wide mini barn they come with 4' wide double doors and the 10' wide sheds have 5' double doors and the 12' and 14' wide come standard with 6' wide double doors.
The mini barn sheds are built in wood siding storage sheds and vinyl siding storage sheds.

The shed kits are only available in the T1-11 wood siding and come painted with your choice of main color and trim color. You'll even get to pick the shingle color so the roof matches your home.
The wooden shed kits are all pre cut with all of the hardware included for an easy assembly process. They are delivered on a wood pallet and shrink wrapped awaiting you or your contractors assembly.
Going back to the mini-barn shed please keep in mind due to the 4' sidewalls the double doors would need to be on the end and the window would need to be placed on the opposite end of the door because placing a window on the side of this style shed would mean it would be so low when mowing or weed eating you would have a high probability of a rock breaking the window not to mention it would be very awkward to open and shut the window if it was on the side.
You could take away the window if you don't want it and sometimes we've had a customer who only wanted a 3' single door instead of the double door which is available. One size we didn't mention are the 6' wide mini barns which are only available in a 3' single door.
Take a look inside one of the 4' mini barns.
All of the heavy duty mini-barns are constructed with 2"x4" sidewalls and roof rafters 16" on center. You can see have steep the pitch of the roof is to allow for enough head room to stand up in it.

Ultimate Guide of Metal Buildings For Sale
When your looking to buy a metal building what are some of your options and where do you start first?
Probably the easiest place to begin is what type of metal building are you looking for.
The 2 different categories of metal buildings for sale are metal carports and metal garages.
The metal carports come with only a roof top shelter and are more economical than a fully enclosed metal building. The metal carports are a popular option if you don't need 100% protection but are looking for closer to 90% protection from the elements. This is a route that many will go with to protect their motor home as its makes a really nice rv carport cover.
If you go with a carport you will than need to decide on which of the 3 different roof lines will work best for you. The 3 different roof lines are regular carports, boxed eave carports and vertical roof carports.
The regular carport is has a rounded roof line and is barn shaped. Of the three style of carports at Alan's Factory Outlet the regular style is the most economical carport option.
The boxed eave style has an a-frame gable roof and the vertical roof looks just like the boxed eave carport with one major difference which makes the vertical roof carport the strongest but at the same time the most costly of the three. This difference is that the roof sheeting on the vertical carport goes up and down. This means the snow and rain will easily slide off of the roof but the only way we can achieve this is to put cross bracing under the roof to attached the sheeting to so this is the main main reason that the vertical style is the strongest. If you live in an area of the country that receives lots of snow than I would recommend investing a little extra money into a vertical style carport.
Once you decide on the style of the steel carport you will want to figure out what size to go with. The size width run from 12', 18', 20', 22' and 24' wide and start out in length at 21' long and go in 5' increments for 21', 26', 31', 36' and 41'. They can be make longer by adding to carports end to end. If you go with a carport 41' or longer we strongly recommend opting for the vertical style because the longest panels we have is 36' long and since the vertical roof is up and down you don't have to worry about leaking issues which would be a factor in the 41' and longer carports since we would have to overlap to 21' long panels which would cause some leaking issues.
You will get to pick the leg height and you can also partially enclose the carport if you want.
We do have triple wide carports that are 26', 28' and 30' wide. They have to be built a lot stronger due to the span of the width.
Options to Decide on the Metal Buildings For Sale
- One car metal garage or single wide metal carport

- Open, partially enclosed, fully enclosed
- Taller legs

The portable carports can be made taller with up to 12' legs for a rv carport shelter. Many different sizes, styles and options are available on the steel carports. The standard specs on the metal buildings is 14 ga tubing with 29 ga sheeting. You can upgrade you steel building with 12 ga tubing on the framing which gives you a 20 year rust through warranty or make it certified for up to 30 psf snow load and 130 mph wind rating. If you make it certified than you will be provided with blue print drawings if you county requires them.
Both the steel carports and steel garages are made in 3 different roof line styles of regular style metal buildings, boxed eave style metal buildings and vertical roof metal buildings. The garage packages come with a 9x8 garage door but can be made taller with taller garage doors. You can add a single door, additional windows and they are anchored to the ground or cement for free.
The carports and garages come in 13 different colors. You get to pick the roof color, trim color and if it is closed the side color.
