How To Anchor Storage Sheds and Buildings

Posted by Alan Bernau Jr on Fri, Mar 18, 2011

how to anchor shedsHow to anchor storage sheds and buildings?  There are several ways to anchor your shed.  Here is an example of a way to anchor your building.  A 3' rebar is anchored into the ground on all four corners of the building.  A heavy duty chain is than attached to the rebar and the other end of the chain is anchored to the pressure treated 4"x4" runners of the shed.  Another option would be to use mobile home anchors which are anchored in the ground and then strapped to the 4 corners of the shed.

The most important thing is you will want to check with your county building department to see what they require as each county may vary to what is needed.
